Tim began his editing journey cutting music clips for the MTV generation in New Zealand, and was promptly awarded with an NZ music award. He was then swallowed up into the post-production world before emerging to rediscover editing around the turn of the millenium. He quickly gained a client base in the cut-throat New Zealand freelance world, teaming up with the emerging direction talent such as Nathan Price, Adam Stevens, and Noah Marshall.

After collecting a silver for editing at the 2007 London International awards, and two gold AXIS editing awards it was inevitable that Tim looked across the Tasman for directors and agencies to collaborate with.

In recent years he has worked with the likes of Hamish Rothwell, Jim Hosking and Nick Ball amongst others. Dividing his time between New Zealand, Australia, and Los Angeles satisfies his thirst for creativity; and gives him the opportunity to surf different breaks between jobs.
